The amazing Corey McDonough created a short documentary video with clips he captured of me rambling, video he shot, as well some clips and resources I provided. I’m really happy with the end product.
The final documentation teaser for the installation is complete!
Thanks to Mario Acerra for the amazing photography, and thanks to Kutztown University for the use of their gallery for filming.
This weekend I shot video of the completed Listen With Your Eyes piece. While shooting, setup a script to take a screen capture every 10 seconds to make a time-lapse of users interacting with the piece. Here are a few videos from the “view” of the projector…

And I integrated generative sound into the piece. The sound works by calculating the distance between your steps, and “building up” sounds if you move quickly, which then fades over time. Below is my early simulation using the mouse location in place of movement:
The project is nearly complete. On Saturday I setup in the gallery again and film the piece in action, so expect some professional-looking videos soon!
